"...a fine cast with a superb countertenor,

Rodrigo Sosa Dal Pozzo dominating the title role"

- The Times, review of English Touring Opera's Tamerlano

"...it is a privilege to be able to enjoy such magnificent proficiency as that which he masters"

- SvD, review of Royal Swedish  Opera's Midsummernight's Dream

"...power and accuracy"

"Rodrigo Sosa Dal Pozzo gave us a dazzling display of Handelian countertenor singing, managing those dizzying semiquaver melismas with power and accuracy"

- Bachtrack, review of English Touring Opera's Tamerlano

“…vigorous delivery through the demanding passagework…”

"Rodrigo Sosa Dal Pozzo’s rich, plump countertenor, with its strong lower register, conveyed Tamerlano’s absolute self-belief and blind confidence, and his vigorous delivery as he moved easily through the demanding passagework suggested both a wild unpredictability and his exasperation. The latter invoked, if not sympathy, then at least a little understanding of his foolishness and irritation. Wisely, Sosa Dal Pozzo didn’t physically overdo Tamerlano’s hysteria and hyperbole and instead let his singing, and an occasional glint of the eye, do the dramatic work."

- Opera Today, review of English Touring Opera's Tamerlano

"...never once moved the character

out of range"

"Rodrigo Sosa Dal Pozzo succeeded in capturing the changeable element in Tamerlano, you never quite knew what he was going to do, and he changed mood on a pin. This Tamerlano was violent and dominating, but not overly so, and he could charm too, but always with an underlying sense that you had to be careful. Always. Sosa Dal Pozzo managed to make the arias move in the same sphere, some of Tamerlano’s writing is surprisingly upbeat, yet Sosa Dal Pozzo never once moved the character out of range"

- Planet Hugill, review of English Touring Opera's Tamerlano

- Norrbotten's Kuriren review of Händel's Messiah with Oulu Baroque Orquestra.

"...makellos reinen, lyrischen Stimme"

"Was für deine Fülle an Timbres!"

Was für deine Fülle an Timbres!

- Memminger Zeitung's review on the voice & harp recital "Musik von Liebe und Tod".

“…unusual richness and colour…”

"The most intriguing performance came from Italian-Venezualan countertenor Rodrigo Sosa Dal Pozzo. His voice, of unusual richness and colour, proved entirely persuasive in music purloined from fruity Russian mezzos (“Mjortvoje pole” from Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky), and both he and the normally stoic Lintu seemed to have a whale of a time in Rinaldo’s - Or la tromba -"

— Bachtrack, review of Mirjam Helin Competition final.
